The Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid can save you a lot on fuel, providing the equivalent of 49 MPG combined city and highway fuel efficiency. It takes about 12 hours to completely charge the battery in a Jeep Wrangler 4xe if you use a standard household-style 120-volt outlet but just 2.4 hours if you have a 220-volt charger installed in your garage. For comparison purposes, the gas-driven Jeep Wrangler with the V6 gets an EPA rating of 23 MPG on the highway, so the difference can be significant.

Technology and safety

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe gives you a standard Uconnect® 5 infotainment system based on a large 12.3-inch display. The Wrangler 4xe also offers optional Off-Road Pages at higher trim levels, a system that can deliver real-time data on pitch and roll alongwith drivetrain settings.

The  Jeep Wrangler 4xe provides you with more standard features than the traditional Jeep Wrangler. That includes structural improvements for side-impact protection and side curtain airbags built into both rows of seats. The Wrangler 4xe also gives you standard safety features that include a rear-view camera, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and forward automatic emergency braking. Available safety upgrades include a forward-facing off-road camera, automatic high-beam headlights, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring.
