One of the many benefits of driving a crossover SUV is that it offers you plenty of power and capability without any extra bulk. This means you can feel more agile while trying to navigate winding roads or tight corners of city streets. The Jeep Compass adds to this versatility by providing drivers with five different trim levels, each with its own unique set of features and capabilities. The Compass has also been completely redesigned for the 2022 model year, so the whole lineup is sleeker and more refined, and also has a brand-new trim level to enjoy, called the Latitude LUX. The whole lineup consists of the Sport, Latitude, new Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited. Continue reading down below to learn more about what the 2022 Jeep Compass has to offer!

Sport

The Sport trim is the first trim level in the Compass lineup, and it lays the groundwork for standard features you'll see on all of the next trims. This starts with the standard engine for the lineup, a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine rated at 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. The Sport comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, though 4-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission are also available. The Sport also comes with horizontal LED headlights, the newly redesigned front and rear fascia, and an expanded safety package. The new package includes features like blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, active lane management, and more. Other features of the Sport include 16-inch wheels, remote keyless entry, and heated side mirrors.

However, the Latitude also sets itself apart with its own unique features. For example, the Latitude features 17-inch wheels, LED fog lights, and black-painted roof rails. It also comes with upgraded faux-leather upholstery on both the seats and the steering wheel. In terms of tech, the Latitude comes with a Uconnect 5 infotainment system complete with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa voice recognition. The Compass seats up to five passengers, with over 27 cubic feet of rear storage space!

You'll also find upgraded tech features, like a 10.1-inch touchscreen for the Uconnect 5 system, and a 7-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) screen, with a larger 10.25-inch screen also available. Trailhawk

For those drivers who love exploring off-road terrain, the Compass for you is the Trailhawk. This trim level is built for the off-road trails, and comes with plenty of unique features that enhance its abilities. The Trailhawk comes with standard 4-wheel drive, utilizing the Active Drive Low 4X4 system, which provides a 20:1 crawl ratio, and better traction at low speeds. It also features the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, and all-season tires. The Trailhawk also has a more athletic appearance thanks to its 30-degree approach angle, which creates a tapered front bumper. It also has a 1-inch factory lift for increased ground clearance which helps the Trailhawk ford up to 30 inches of water. It also has a bold red and black anti-glare decal on the hood.

On the outside, the Limited comes with 18-inch wheels, a chrome grille surround, and a Gloss-Black painted roof.
